Opposition Statements Filed

The Propel Article VII Confidential Settlement Process resulted in a Joint Proposal that Propel is asking the PSC to approve.  No approvals have been granted to date by the PSC.

What's missing?

The majority of parties to the case did not sign onto the Proposal.  Non-signatories include: 3 Nassau County Town Supervisors, The Village of Sea Cliff, 3 School Districts (North Shore, Roslyn, and Syosset), Business Association and small businesses, residents and various Civics.

Opposition statements were also filed by local legislators and the Hempstead Harbor Protection Committee.

What Do You Need to Do?

File your comments before July 10 with the PSC using the link found below.

Why Are Non-Signatories Material?

The non-signatory Parties had to sign NDAs to participate in the Article VII process and have engaged in confidential negociations for a little over 1 year reading the unredacted project filings.  These parties have noted deficiencies within the Joint Proposal associated with health, safety, environmental integrity, educational programs, risks to private property and small business revenues amongst other concerns for the locales most directly impacted by this project. These non-signatory parties are highly knowledgeable of the details of the project as well as its impacts and for them not to sign that speaks volumes.  You can find their filed statements below.

File you comments before 4pm July 10 - Make your voice heard to the PSC. Silence is Acceptance!
